Always Kernel Error when install virtualbox on linux

Hello,

do oceancloud support virtualbox i have tried using this tutorial "https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-install-virtualbox-on-centos-6-3-x64", but still getting an error, when i run the application it said "Recompiling VirtualBox kernel modules [FAILED]"

Need help please.

  • I would recommend that you ensure that you have the kernel headers and kernel-devel packages installed for the kernel you are running as these are required for VirtualBox to build it's modules. To get started I would try

    yum update;
    yum install kernel-headers kernel-devel
    /etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup
    
  • thank you for your advice ryanpq, but still can not run virtual box. I'm still getting this meditation guru :(.

    but finally i jumped in to vmware player, and i did it. at least i have virtual machine in my server even it's not virtualbox but i'm happy.
