Best practices for hosting non-dokku services on a dokku server?

I have a dokku server that I use to host a primary domain and multiple subdomains for that primary domain.

However, I would also be interested in creating something such a PLEX instance on (something I'm pretty sure I can't do with dokku). My original idea was creating a new nginx virtual host on the plex subdomain with a proxy pass to the actual plex internal port.

Is this the best way to do this? Is there some best practice for dokku I should use alternatively, or should I perhaps even create a docker container for the plex instance instead?

Any help would be appreciated, thank you!
