I have setup postfix and dovecot on my ubuntu 14.04 on a digitalocean droplet. When I telnet to my localhost on imap, I get the output below, can anyone help me..

telnet 127.0.0.1 143
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to 127.0.0.1.
Escape character is '^]'.
* OK [CAPABILITY IMAP4rev1 LITERAL+ SASL-IR LOGIN-REFERRALS ID ENABLE IDLE STARTTLS
AUTH=PLAIN >AUTH=LOGIN] Dovecot (Ubuntu) ready.
0 login username password
Connection closed by foreign host.

Any idea on how I can resolve this. Here is an output from dovecot -n
