Hello everyone, my WordPress website crashes, gets high ram alert and CPU usages once i connect it to my “domain.com”

But if use “sub.domain.com” the site runs completely fine.
Its not DDoS cause i used Cloudflare 5 sec JavaScript challenge with i am under attack it still faces Database crash or downtimes.

NOTE: No application or plugin error too as both Subdomain and Domain sites are exact clone

Can someone please guide me with this urgently

Hi there,

I could suggest checking a few things:

  • Check what services / processes are consuming most of the resources:

https://www.digitalocean.com/community/questions/how-to-find-the-processes-that-are-consuming-the-most-server-resources

  • Then check your access logs and see what requests are being made. You can do that by following the steps here:

https://devdojo.com/bobbyiliev/bash-script-to-summarize-your-nginx-and-apache-access-logs

If the traffic is legitimate but it is just too much, I could suggest adding some more extra resources to your server to increase the reliability

  • Remove any plugins and themes that you do not really need to reduce the unnecessary load on the server.

  • Follow the steps from this tutorial here on how to optimize your WordPress installation:
