General email spam or blacklist policy and best practice

Hi,
this is not related to hosting part i believe, but i know i would get some expert opinion on this here.

when gmail, yahoo or hotmail blacklist or add an address to their spam filter for example mail@mydomain.com, does all the other emails also get in to the spam list from that domain? for example mail@mail.mydomain.com will also be blacklisted in this case?

It depends on the level of spam, unusually it’s PER email address, unless they have no good samples from that domain then they may block email from the domain and IP completely.

In most cases if mail is going to spam all the time it’s a good bet it’s domain or server level filtered.
