How can I provide admin access to my developer on one of my droplets?

We are trying to troubleshoot the server crashing, and everytime it crashes I need to manually power cycle the droplet. This is making me the bottleneck. How can let my dev administer the droplet without me?

  • Digital Ocean doesn’t seem to have a kind of ‘developer’ access to the droplet. It is very useful to have some thing like that.

At least some basic control would be great to have.

    • DNS management
    • Restarting servers

To change configuration and check logs of your server the best choice is root access, yet you need to really trust your dev. Once everything is fixed change root password, but again do this only if you trust the person you rely on.

Also make a backup of your droplet before any changes.

The dev already has root access!

The problem is that when the server crashes, it has to be manually restarted in the DigitalOcean control panel.

I guess there is no way to add other users to the control panel?
