Hi! I have a droplet at I would really need more disk space and I can pay for it. It says volumes are not available at this region. What is the way to get more disk space? Thank you for info. Br, Jukka Juslin

Hi @jukkajuslin,

There are two options to Resize your droplet.

  • Permanent (Will Increase Disk Size)
CPU and RAM only. This option lets you increase or decrease the amount of CPU and RAM available to a Droplet.

  • Flexible Resize (Wont touch Disk, allowing you to scale down on later date)
Disk, CPU, and RAM. This option increases the amount of CPU and RAM available to a Droplet and permanently increases the size of a Droplet’s disk.

If unsure, you can always check DigitalOcean’s Documentation on how to resize a droplet here :

Lastly, you can try using Volumes. Block storage volumes are network-based block devices that provide additional data storage for Droplets. You can move them between Droplets and resize them at any time.

You can check more about it here:

Hi, we request you to refer to below link, which provides the detailed regional availability of the Products and services:

There are two ways to add extra storage to your Droplet. First one being adding an extra Volumes and next being resizing the Droplet.

Please see our tutorial on how to resize Droplets:

Please note that once you resize to a larger disk, you will no longer be able to resize to a smaller plan. This is because there will be a disk mismatch and we do not currently support shrinking a virtual server’s disk
