How to ensure if ngx_pagespeed's truly enabled after compiling it with Nginx?

Nginx CentOS

I compiled manually ngx_speed with Nginx following exactly every step in the guide in Google's site.

Then, when I put nginx -V, I get:

nginx version: nginx/1.7.10
built by gcc 4.8.2 20140120 (Red Hat 4.8.2-16) (GCC)
configure arguments: --add-module=/home/alain/ngx_pagespeed-release-

So basically the module is properly compiled with Nginx. However in several guides I've seen how people check if that module is running by putting:

curl -I 'http://localhost/index.html' | grep X-Page-Speed,
curl -I 'http://localhost/index.html' | grep "Speed" -i
, or even curl -s -I http://localhost | grep ^X-Page-Speed

And while the result must give you some data and in the end X-Page-Speed: (the version I have). The thing is I never see the module appear there, and it is in ON inside my nginx.conf file.

So my question: It is truly active? Is there another way to know if it's running?

Thanks in advance.

PD: I'm running CentOS 7.
