How to prevent eXtplorer users exploring into Root Directory ?

eXtplorer is a web-based File Manager.
Unfortunately, it can be used to explore your Root Directory.

I know as an admin of eXtplorer i can set users directory and its permission, but this is useless if users still have FTP access (pureFTPd, proFTPd, vsFTPd) and able to upload file, because s/he can install eXtplorer anywhere within his/her web directory.
