Increase memory allocation to Plesk

I'm running Plesk 12 on a 8GB droplet. On routine days I never go above 1.5GB of real memory usage (in fact I've been on 8GB for about 6 weeks and it has never went above 2GB, I had to upgrade simply due to disk space).

How can I allocate more of this memory to improve server load? At times I can end up with a 4.0-6.0 load if something hits hard and ends up on a viral site.

There are about 10 WordPress sites on the server and three of them get around 100-150K per month.

  • I'm not quite sure what you are requesting. Is Plesk the application that is getting hit during high-load times, or are you seeing that load in Apache or some other part of your Wordpress stack?

  • With your answer, I assume you do not understand how the Plesk package works.
