Intermittent HTTP Status 500 using DO API v2

I'm recently seeing intermittent HTTP status 500 returned to my DO API v2 calls. Calls with the same parameters sometimes work perfectly but sometimes fail with 500. Below is an example of the returned status. Is anyone else seeing this? Should my script simply retry these failed calls?
