New root password set but not working after it

I’ve found that after resetting my root password again after each time it didn’t work, it was a special character that was not taken in account : the “@”.
As soon as I avoided that special character, my password worked fine.
Is it a bug to report or a general condition related to the droplet console? Maybe DigitalOcean should warn the users to not use this character in users passwords.

I did not face any issue with the special character “@” while resetting the root password.
When creating a droplet, there are password requirements that should be followed. which can be noticed when you are choosing “password” as authentication to the droplet.
