nginx: error 403, error 404 on phpMyAdmin and IP addresses on Ubuntu Server 14

August 11, 2014 2.6k views

I've installed nginx and added nginx support to Virtualmin rather easily. The problem is that when I try to access my server's IP as http://x.x.x.x/ I got a 403 error. I've already fixed ownership and permissions on /usr/share/nginx/html but with no luck. Also, installing phpMyAdmin with the usual procedure (symbolic link, custom block etc. ) returns a 404 error. nginx has the following problem according to my latest log's entry:

2014/08/11 02:23:22 [emerg] 23609#0: ipv6only is not supported on addr "", ignored in /etc/nginx/sites-enabled/default:21

Is this related to the fact that I can't access anything from http://myserverip? Thanks in advance. :-)
