phpmyadmin 500 Internal Server Error on Wordpress droplet

I used this tutorial to install PHPMyAdmin on Wordpress droplet. But I am getting 500 server error.

I checked error logs and here it is:

[Tue May 11 16:57:56.174857 2021] [http:error] [pid 7932] [client] AH02430: Response header 'Location' value of 'http://[my-ip]\x1b[C/phpmyadmin/' contains invalid characters, aborting request

When I was setting my droplet I think I incorrectly inputted IP address in the place of the domain name. Maybe that is the reason?

Hello, @shotazi

You can share the content of your Apache virtual host and also the config file of phpMyAdmin as well.

If you’ve enabled Password Protection as per the article you can temporary disable it by removing the following lines in your .htaccess file for easier troubleshooting

AuthType Basic
AuthName "Restricted Files"
AuthUserFile /etc/phpmyadmin/.htpasswd
Require valid-user

Regards, Alex

Hi @shotazi,

It seems like there might be something wrong with your Apache configuration. Can you please give me the content of your conf file - /etc/apache2/conf-available/phpmyadmin.conf.

Once I have the said information, I’ll be able to provide a little bit more information on what might be the issue. So far it just looks like a configuration error.
