Routes on a MEAN project all 404'ing out

On a standard one-click installation of a MEAN project, I've blown away the default project and replaced it with my own.

I have added the default mongo database to my DB files and things are identical to my dev server. I have the app up and running on port 5000.

Why are all my route requests to my API 404'ing out?

  • I have edited the app so it's running on port 8080, but all my routes are still dead. Does DigitalOcean only accept one DB connection at a time?

  • DigitalOcean doesn't put any limitations on the number of database connections. Though by default, the MongoDB instance is only accessible on the local host. Are you trying to connect to directly from another machine?

    # cat /etc/mongod.conf | grep bind
