Sending email from same domain with Mandrill and Google Apps

I have configured postfix to send email with mandrillapp for, I have also emails configured with Google Apps, and all MX entries from google. How do I get the PHP form to send emails from to

    Not sure if your intention is similar to mine, with the above, but I've been wanting to use Mandril to track my sent Google Apps mail. (Using the Mandril smtp server:

    I've tried to edit my Googles Apps User Smtp within my Google Apps account itself, without using a third party email client. (Admin > Apps > Google Apps > Settings for Gmail > Advanced settings >

    1. Allow per-user outbound gateways
      Locally applied - Allow users to send mail through an external SMTP server when configuring a "from" address hosted outside your email domains. Mail sent via external SMTP will circumvent your outbound gateway.

    2. Outbound gateway
      Locally applied
      Route outgoing emails to the following SMTP server:
      If you authenticate outgoing email using an SPF record or DKIM, you may need to update your configuration.

    Note. I also went to my domain provider and added two TTS records, DKIM & SPF for Mandril to verify the domain.

    Am I dreaming here.... or could this work? And how...? I don't think it is working for me...
