SSl certificate godaddy CSR

I'm trying to connect the CSR from my droplet to my Godaddy SSL certificate but when I past the csr I get the following message

"Invalid Certificate Signing Request sent. Recover Certificate Signing Request and send it back"

and when I run "sudo service apache2 restart" I get this message

"Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using [ip address] Set the 'ServerName' directive globally to suppress this message"

  • How did you generate the CSR? Can you post the command that you used to do that?

Make sure it begins and ends with the following lines:

    ...CSR goes here...
  • I have follow this tutorial

    and use this command
openssl req -new -newkey rsa:2048 -nodes -keyout mydomain.key -out mydomain.csr

This tutorial explains how to create a self-signed SSL certificate, how to add it to your server, and how to configure the SSL file to display the certificate to the world. A SSL certificate is a way to encrypt a site's information and create a more secure connection. Certificate Authorities can issue SSL certificates that verify the server's details while a self-signed certificate has no 3rd party corroboration. This tutorial is written for Apache on an Ubuntu server.
  • Ok, you need to send the contents of mydomain.csr to Godaddy. Running cat mydomain.csr outputs the file's contents which you can then copy to your clipboard.

  • Yes I have done and when I past the key I receive a error on Godaddy
