  • Are you running this on a 512MB droplet? Since droplets do not include swap space by default, running a full LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) stack on them can result in your droplet exhausting it's available memory leading to services crashing. This is the most common reason to be seeing database failures on a small droplet. There are a few things you can do to resolve this issue.

1.) Upgrade to a larger droplet. You can use the fast-resize tool in the control panel to quickly resize your droplet's RAM and CPU specifications to a larger plan.

2.) Enable Swap. You can create a swapfile on your droplet and configure it to enable it automatically on boot. This way if your physical memory is exhausted your droplet will begin using the swap space in order to prevent services from crashing. This tutorial will guide you in this process.

3.) You can take steps to modify the configurations for Apache and MySQL to reduce memory use.

Swap space can be used as an "overflow" area for your system when you run out of RAM. The operating system can store data that would normally be kept in RAM on the hard drive in a specially formatted file. In this guide, we'll demonstrate how to create and use one of these files in Ubuntu 14.04.
  • No i i have 2 GB on my droplets. What can be wrong then?

  • b'coz u change phpmyadmin root password manually in terminal. so.. if you create db in vesta panel not connect.
