These terms (the “Preview Terms”) apply to your participation in the public preview of, and your use of, Product Docs / Ask Docs (the “preview offering”). The Preview Terms supplement the terms of the DigitalOcean Terms of Service Agreement and any other agreement between you and DigitalOcean governing your use of our Services (our “Agreement”). The preview offering is a Beta Service for purposes of the Agreement and other terms defined in the Agreement have the same meaning in these Preview Terms unless expressly specified otherwise in these Preview Terms.
These Preview Terms describe additional terms that apply specifically to this preview offering. If there is a conflict between these Preview Terms and the Agreement, these Preview Terms will control solely with respect to the conflict relating to your use of the preview offering.
Your participation in the public preview and use of the preview offering is voluntary. If you do not accept these Preview Terms then you may not participate in the public preview.

Participating in the public preview gives you the opportunity to test, validate, and provide feedback on a preliminary release of the preview offering as part of our roll-out strategy. While we expect that the preview offering will perform for some production-level workloads, as set forth in the Agreement, and without limiting any disclaimers in the Agreement, you acknowledge that:
(a) As a Beta Service the preview offering may not meet the same reliability, performance, or security standards as generally available Services, and may not be appropriate for all production workloads.
(b) You are solely responsible for determining whether and how to use the preview offering, and that you should test and validate it in your environment before relying on it for any production workloads.
( c ) We recommend that you initially use simulated test data with the preview offering and not include personally identifying, confidential, regulated, or high-risk information. You remain responsible for configuring and using the Services appropriately and for taking your own steps to maintain appropriate security, protection, and backup of your data.
(d) Support for the preview offering is available through our standard support channels, subject to any limits described in the documentation for the preview offering, and we may prioritize support for generally available Services over support for the preview offering. We may track and measure the performance and usage of the preview offering. However, no Service Level Agreements, including service credits and other remedies, apply to the preview offering unless we expressly state otherwise in Section 2 of these Preview Terms.
(e) By opting into the public preview program, you authorize DigitalOcean to use your interactions with the preview offering (including the questions you ask, chatbot responses you receive, session activity, how you engage with responses, and other technical details about how you use select services to provide additional insights about such services, collectively “interaction data”). All interaction data will be used solely for the purpose of providing AI-generated responses to your questions and improving the preview offering for all customers. Refer to the DigitalOcean Privacy Policy for more information about how we may process your data in this experience. (f) The preview offering uses third-party or DigitalOcean-hosted machine learning models, large language models, or other AI capabilities. You understand that, in addition to other terms regarding AI in the Agreement:
Unless we specify otherwise in Section 2 of these Preview Terms, your use of the preview offering will be billed at our standard rates for comparable generally available Services. We may change pricing (including introducing charges for previously free usage) by providing notice as described in the Agreement or the documentation for the preview offering.
(a) You may disable the preview offering at any time by turning off the relevant option or configuration, as described in the documentation for the preview offering.
(b) We make no promise that the preview offering will continue to general availability or that any general availability version will be unchanged from the preview offering. At the end of the public preview, we may:
( c ) If we release a generally available version of the preview offering, these Preview Terms will automatically terminate when its general availability version is released and your continued use of the preview offering (or its successor) will be governed by the Agreement.
(d) If we discontinue the preview offering without releasing a generally available version, we may delete preview offering resources and data except as otherwise specified in the documentation or migration guidance. We will endeavor (but are not obligated) to provide prior notice and to keep the preview offering available for a reasonable period to allow you to wind down your use.
You may, but are not required to, provide us with feedback, suggestions, test results, usage information, or other information relating to your access, use, testing, or evaluation of the preview offering (collectively, “Test Observations”). As described in the Agreement, we may use Test Observations for our own purposes, including improving our products and services, and you will not use Test Observations except for your internal evaluation of the preview offering. Test Observations and any non-public technical information about the preview offering are Confidential Information under the Agreement. You may not disclose Confidential Information unless you obtain our prior written permission.
