DigitalOcean Partner Network Connect SLO

Boost your infrastructure reliability with DigitalOcean Partner Network Connect High Availability, featuring a 99.9% Service Level Objective (SLO) for route failure mitigation and secure, private connections to non-DigitalOcean resources.

Last Updated on November 18, 2025

DigitalOcean Partner Network Connect allows you to use direct, private connections between DigitalOcean and other cloud providers, co-locations, or on-premise data centers. Currently DigitalOcean leverages Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) partners like Megaport to provide this functionality and as such cannot guarantee end-to-end connectivity service level agreements. DigitalOcean Partner Network Connect can operate in a high availability (HA) configuration so as to increase connection reliability to NaaS providers and subsequently to your non-DigitalOcean resources.

Definitions

  • Route Failure Mitigation: The time that it takes for Partner Network Connect High Availability to detect a NaaS/downstream failure and update routes accordingly.

Partner Network Connect High Availability SLO

  • 99.9% of all mitigations complete under 5 minutes.

  • During this time, up to approximately 50% of overall Partner Network Connect High Availability traffic may still function normally.

Caveats

  • While DigitalOcean provides this SLO, NaaS and downstream partners are out of our control. The maximum expected achievable uptime will depend on this SLO and your Partner Network’s service agreements.

Partner Network Connect without HA

Partner Network Connect without HA relies on one non-diverse path inside of DigitalOcean and carries no level of redundancy. The SLOs for Partner Network Connect within DigitalOcean’s network are no different than droplet networking SLOs.
