I have been trying to login to my website, and I am receiving this Internal Server Error message. The website is www.mabeadsjewelry.com/wp-admin

Can someone help me navigate this problem?

  • Hi! Are there any errors in Apache's error log?

    sudo tail /var/log/apache2/error.log

  • i'm not sure how to check that...? normally i have a developer help me with this, but he has vanished and not answering my emails the last 10 days :(

  • To check that, log in to your droplet as the user "root" and run the following command:

    sudo tail /var/log/apache2/error.log

    Then post its output here.

DigitalOcean Droplets are managed using a terminal and SSH. SSH is an encrypted network protocol for remote server login and command execution. It is the standard method used for accessing and interacting with Linux servers. This tutorial shows how to connect to a DigitalOcean Droplet for the first time by using the OpenSSH client.
  • i am trying to follow these instructions but it is seriously confusing. I have no idea what i'm doing :(

  • @kamaln7 : You saved me a lot of time!! I was getting mad trying to understand what was going wrong! Really thanks a lot

  • Thanks, really helped me out.

  • sudo tail /var/log/apache2/error.log this is the master key which I needed. @kamain7 Thank you for the solution. It really helped me a lot. If it wasn't there fo the rescue, only God would have known the original problem.

It says there is error on /wp-admin/options-general.php but I don't know which error it is.

Just removed .htaccess file and problem is not fixed.

clear your browser data first like cookies ,history, and saved password and then tray again you can access your site url....... if this will not worked you will have to do in your ftp..... recreate the file and you will gain access again its prrty simple
