    SSD - Solid State Drive
    In short, Solid State drives are awesome, everyone should use them. Nice and fast. In terms of servers they make everything for the front-end user nice and speedy.

SSD refers to solid state drives as opposed to older hard drives with spinning parts and platters. SSDs provide faster disk access. Our servers (droplets) are KVM based virtual machines that can run a variety of Linux operating systems or FreeBSD.
