Apps & API - DigitalOcean Community

While exploring the Control Panel, I noticed that this app has full access to my account. I also see an option to revoke it. I have 2 questions:

(1) What is the purpose of the DigitalOcean Community app?

(2) What are the benefits and/or drawbacks of revoking this permission?

You're in the DigitalOcean Community app! It's a place for our user community to read tutorials, ask questions, and discuss topics related to server administration and development. It's displayed under "Apps & API" since it uses OAuth to use the same account to login here as on cloud.digitalocean.com
