Can I enable a sound card on a droplet?

Or is there a simple way of configuring/troubleshooting sound setup on a cloud server?

I don’t believe you can since the servers themselves don’t really have any audio chipset on the motherboard.

Why would you need it?

  • I’ve wondered the same thing. For me, my use-case is not testing, but recording screen-casts. I enjoy watching e-gaming tournaments but:

    • I have a HORRIBLE internet connection
    • I work full-time and cant make it often to watch the streams live.
    • VODs are not always available.

    I already do this at home, but due to the connection, I have to select one of the lowest qualities. I was wondering if this were possible via a cloud VM like a DO droplet. Even if I have to pay for the bandwidth…
