I need to change my WordPress language from eng to Turkish . I got the whole required files in my directory however, it is still in English. Any similar experience so far?

×After downloading the files needed for your language and saving it to the correct location (/var/www/wp-content/languages/tr_TR.mo), you can then select the new language in your WordPress dashboard by navigating to “Setting -> General”
According to the wordpress installation guide I need to copy my language version of wordpress (this case Dutch) over the current wordpress installation (so the whole wordpress download). Or would it be enough to download the dutch version and then only upload the Dutch language files?

If the mo file is available in /var/www/wp-content/languages/ then WordPress will pick it up and offer it as an option.
