Cannot ping new droplet just created

Hello, I just signed up and created a droplet but I cannot ping the IPV4, how do I access or connect from my Mac to the droplet?


Me, too. I create 6 coreos droplet, but none of them could be ping.

As a diagnostic step, can you log in to your droplet’s web console as root and ping outwards from there to known sites like,, etc? This will at least tell you that your networking stack is available and that ICMP protocol is working outwards. As a sanity check, also ping your IP address from the console. If that all works, then you may need to check your firewall to make sure ICMP services are not being blocked.
