Where can I check my bandwidth usage status, such as my usage and remaining bandwidth, as currently I got cloud server with 1 TB bandwidth.

We don’t currently expose that information anywhere. We realize that isn’t ideal, and until we provide that information in the control panel we will not charge for bandwidth usage.

If you want to collect that information for yourself, I’d suggest installing vnstat:

sudo apt-get install vnstat

If you want something more detailed, take a look at some of the solutions in the Monitoring tag.

  • I am running VNStats and its quite good showing total usage !!

    • It is. And you can install “vnstati” (see the “i” at the end) for providing images of your vnstats. They are great to be hosted on a web-server.

  • Just to be clear: There is no charge for extra bandwith? The $0.02 per GB will not be billed if I exceed my included TB limit?

I do not mind being charged but I need to know and I need a place within the control panel to see my usage.

    If you charge:

    a) Does accounting start at the 1st of the month or at the first day of ordering the droplet?
    b) Does inbound and outbound count both? I’ve seen some companies not charging for inbound traffic.

NB: So far I had an EXCELLENT experience with my first droplet.
