Could not resolve host:

[root@centos-s-1vcpu-1gb-sgp1-01 ~]# ping

4 packets transmitted, 0 received, 100% packet loss, time 3100ms

i tried to add to /etc/hosts, that is not working for me.

What you could do is to try and run an MTR and see where exactly the packets are getting lost:
