credentials to use postfix to send emails

Posted on August 17, 2017

I have installed and configured postfix for sending emails only. Works ok as per the command line given in the tutorial. Would like to use it to send some notifications from a unifi controller hosted on the same server and one hosted on another server on Amazon. What credentials do I use to send emails out (hostname/ip, username, password, port)

hostname/ip is your droplet ip the postfix installation is on. Username usually is the account you’re signing into for example test@test.com Password whatever you set it to during installation and configuration. If you setup SSL it should be port 465
