Digital ocean and serverpilot 403 Forbidden

Posted on July 13, 2014

Hi, I’ve connected my digital ocean server(Ubuntu 14.) to serverpilot. I cannot access my web pages or apps I’ve created using my browser its showing “Forbidden. You don’t have permission to access / on this server.” Can anyone help me on this matter…

Another thing to watch out for is serverpilot automatically creating a .htaccess file in your phpmyadmin folder, check for . files and delete them first

A 403 Forbidden error happens on ServerPilot apps when you’ve changed or deleted your app’s webroot directory. Because the directory doesn’t exist or is missing an index file, Apache serves a 403 Forbidden error.

To fix this, just upload your files to your app’s webroot directory. You can contact ServerPilot’s support if you need help figuring out where to upload files to your server.

It looks like an issue with ServerPilot, I would suggest contacting them.
