Question

DO Spaces CDN: Subdomain DNS Error

Error Image

I tried creating a ns for subdomain in Godaddy and pointed to digital ocean ns.

The ns records are coming up in dns lookup tools.

But Digital Ocean is giving Failed to verify DNS domain ownership

The purpose was to use that domain for digital ocean spaces. And it is giving that error

Hello,

Usually once you make a DNS change, it could take up to 24 hours for the DNS cache to clear over the Globe before you could see the new records.

I usually suggest the following:

  • Add your domain name to your DigitalOCean account:

https://docs.digitalocean.com/products/networking/dns/how-to/add-domains/

  • Then change your name servers:

https://docs.digitalocean.com/tutorials/dns-registrars/

  • And then once all that is done, follow the steps for the CDN:

https://docs.digitalocean.com/products/spaces/how-to/customize-cdn-endpoint/

Best,

Bobby
