Question

Does Digital Ocean comes with Anti-DDOS protection?

Hi

Does DigitalOcean offer any Anti-DDOS protection? I am super happy with DigitalOcean server’s performance, service and support. I am considering to get proper 8 core droplet but I am worried about DDOS attacks. I am going to host game servers (obviously Cloudflare won’t do job for me) and there is lot of idiots who do DDOS in game world.

I would go for 8 core droplet but if there is a chance I can get ddosed its kinda pointless, I am also considering OVH’s dedicated servers who offer Anti-DDOS protection with 256 fallback IP’s

Cheers

Hello and welcome to Digitalocean.

Sorry to say it, but Digitalocean has no direct DDoS Protection.

“Until our system has detected the flood has stopped, the traffic will be routed to a null location to keep the network stable.”

Or in other words, they block Traffic to your Droplet (3h).
