Hi I am running ubuntu 14.04 i have setup postfix to handle drupal email and added gmail mx records. But whe i use the contact form nothing is coming through. It states that the email has been sent but not getting through to the site email address. However if i tick the ‘send a copy’ when sending the quiry it comes through to the email address stated(send copy) in the contact form but not the site email address.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as i dont know where to go with this as i have contacted google and they state it is an issue with the website..

  • it notifies me of new registrations but wont send the actual contact form submission through.. very odd

  • Just installed web forms and this is also not sending out emails?! i very confused.. any help would be great thanks

  • @inspirednotion: Are you receiving some emails but not others or none at all? If you aren’t receiving any, you might need to install an MTA such as Postfix. You can install Postfix by running:

    sudo apt-get install postfix

    Then, edit /etc/postfix/ and set inet_interfaces to loopback-only:

    inet_interfaces = loopback-only

    Finally, restart postfix:

    sudo service postfix restart

    Drupal should then be able to send emails.

  • Sorry, I misread your question. It seems like you are able to send email from your droplet but it doesn’t always work. Are you sure that the site email address is correct? Please check for any typos. If it is, can you try using a different plugin?
