  • Hi,
    I can´t connect from Filezilla since the droplet migration.
    I´ve reset my password, and still can´t connect.
    “Authentication failed” error message.
    I can log in with the new password to DO, but not trough Filezilla SFTP.

    Thanks for any help.

What filezilla settings are you using?
protocol = sftp
port = tried both empty and 22
logon type=normal
username= newuser
password=newuser password

these are the setting I am using.

Thanks for your reply
Can you SSH into your droplet? Is sshd running? "service sshd start"
I could not understand your point, but I am able to login into ssh through putty and trying other things.
When I give sudo "service sshd start" it did not gave any output nor error

Try using the same username/password credentials for Filezilla (port 22, protocol SFTP).
I am using the same username/password for filezilla but it is giving error "Network error: Connection refused
Using the same password I am able to login into ftp through ssh.
While I have different hosting too... and I am able to connect them through filezilla...
I tried logging in with hostname as the IP address and it worked but I am not able to browse the directories.
It only shows the root directory. '/'
Try typing /home/yourusername/ in Filezilla's address bar and press enter, do you see your files?
"550 Failed to change directory"
Failed to retrieve directory listing

I am not able to browse. nor able to go to /var/www/
I root I am able to see only this file "epel-release-6-8.noarch.rpm" and nothing else.
Are you using zPanel? If yes, you should use zpanel's built it tools and not follow external guides as zpanel edit software's configuration and makes it hard to revert them to their original state.
