Hi there,
Is it possible to completely encrypt the SSD of a droplet using Ubuntu ?
Thanks, Gilles

Any update on this question because it is 2020 and the question is 7 years ago. In linode I know how to do this because they provided tutorial on this https://www.linode.com/docs/security/encryption/use-luks-for-full-disk-encryption/. What about digitalocean? I think I might use linode if this is not possible. Can anyone confirm ?
While not ‘completely’, a very large file as a container might do what you want, as explained here:

I was planning to use TrueCrypt but thought there was a better method, thanks anyway
This is currently not possible as we do not support modifying a droplet’s partition table.

You can always use software such as TrueCrypt:

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/TrueCrypt
