Hello,
I am trying to transfer my website so that the domain redirects to a VPS I have on DigitalOcean while the email stays on FastComet. However, my Gmail is now having trouble connecting to my hyperionacademics.com mail. Whenever I try to send an email, I get this error: "The response was:
DNS Error: DNS type ‘a’ lookup of mail.hyperionacademics.com responded with code NXDOMAIN DNS type ‘aaaa’ lookup of mail.hyperionacademics.com responded with code NXDOMAIN"
Do you know what could be causing this and how I could fix it? Thank you!

Hello @d8ce18629910-41ba-a430-d7058a
It seems like there is no DNS record for mail.hyperionacademics.com at the moment, you can point the A record for mail.hyperionacademics.com to FastComet
You can reach to their support team and they’ll give you the IP address needed for the A record.
Regards
Hi @d8ce18629910-41ba-a430-d7058a,
Check your DNS records and to be more precise your MX record. See where the MX record is pointing at.
If you want to keep your mail where currently is and it used to point to your rood domain name, you might need to update the MX record to point to your mail provider directly.
