I originally built my Minecraft server from an old workstation for a small club of mine for fun and to sharpen my teeth at server administration. As time went by, I have collected quite a number of reasons to move the server off-site.
So I have been working on setting up the server on a Ubuntu droplet (v12.04). I get to learn Linux at the same time, which is good.
However, I wanted to know if there is anyway to move over the server world off the Windows 7 machine its currently on to my Ubuntu droplet? I know its easier to simply start a new world, but I’m still curious if its possible before I go back to them and tell them we need to rebuild from scratch. Explore my options.
