Question

I’m currently using Godaddy as the hosting company for my music streaming service. Can I switch to your service as my hosting company?

Site is only a few weeks old. Looking to increase my max upload size for a music streaming service.

Hi @santosromel48,

Yes, it’s entirely possible to do so! You’ll need to actually create your droplet and prepare it for your website but that’s not going to be much trouble, there are very good articles here at DigitalOcean about that.

Okay, let’s start, firstly, you’ll need to create a new Droplet, I’ll recommend Ubuntu 18.04 and prepare it. To do so, I’ll advice you to take a look at that article here : https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/initial-server-setup-with-ubuntu-18-04 . That article is the initial setup you need to actually do as soon as you’ve configured your droplet.

Now that you’ve passed it, take a look at the following article for installing LAMP : https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-install-linux-apache-mysql-php-lamp-stack-ubuntu-18-04 .

That’s it, you now your droplet ready for your website. You’ll need to migrate it from your end.

Regards, KDSys
