I’m new to AWS and want to have a cloud server to host an online application which is of PHP based?

Can somebody answer this query from a very basic level.

Awful answers to your question, sorry about that, if you are not tech savvy like most around here try to use a service like https://serverpilot.io/ their system will help you to setup a webserver to run your php application in no time, also you can try to find a reliable freelancer to help you.

If you need a hand just let me know, I’ll gladly help you if time allow it.

Also, to run something in PHP look at installing Apache and PHP…

    Basically i need a virtual server as well, so would like to know how the entire process will go through to have a server?

    The process to have a server is.

    Sign up,
    Choose a server plan,
    Click buy,
    Pay for it,
    Login to the server via SSH ( command line ),
    Install and configure your software and firewall,
    Profit.
