I struggle to find information on how the DO datacenters are designed. Something similar to http://aws.amazon.com/architecture/
To define a HA or DR strategy I need information like what is the relation between datacenters in the same region? Are they in the same geographical location ? are there low latency links between datacenters in the same region? Is private network possible between them (don’t think so) ?
It would be great if this information was centralized somewhere. (googled it, couldn’t find it)

Different regions that are in the same geographical location are in different datacenters/buildings. Latency should be low. Private networking does not work across two different regions unfortunately.
