Thanks guys for there support. I did everything right but somehow couldn’t reach the /wp-admin page to login, also URL was shown not secure. Somehow the SSL certificate showed that it still was provided from the previous host Siteground (I was using siteground before moving to DigitalOcean, domain is at squarespace, I deleted everything in siteground, also deleted the siteground name servers in squarespace) and thats couldn’t be. So I knew then that there’s something in the background not being updated yet, so I left it for a night. The next morning everything, wp-admin and SSL worked just fine.

Hi there,

Could you share what exactly happens when you try to access /wp-admin? Do you get a specific error message like a 404, a redirect, or just a blank page?

If the A record is correct and the IP points to your server, it might be a web server or WordPress config issue. But also note that after making a DNS change it can take up to 24 hours for the DNS cache to clear over the globe.

You could also try accessing /wp-login.php directly instead of /wp-admin, just to rule out a redirect issue.

Also worth checking if your web server Apache is actually running and if there’s anything unusual in the logs.

Heya, @orbismagna

Did you received a successful output when you installed WordPress? You can also try to access the wp-admin using both IP address and domain name as there might be a DNS propagation still ongoing that may cause the issue here.

Hope that this helps!
