Do I pay for exceeding usage of network bandwidth? Just in case.
I’m looking for cloud where I could host something that is unmetered. I just don’t want to see my bills rise up when sudden increase in traffic happens.
Its better for me to cut the network than continuously bill for exceeding usage.

Once the monthly transfer limit has been exceeded, the cost of additional transfer is $0.02 per outbound GB. Until monitoring is implemented in DigitalOcean’s control panel, you will not be charged for exceeding the monthly transfer limit.
Say you guys already implemented that and I’m paying with Paypal, What happens then if my droplet suddenly exceeded the bandwidth?
Hello there,
Droplets include free outbound data transfer, starting at 1,000 GiB/month for the smallest plan. Excess data transfer is billed at $0.01/GiB. For example, the cost of 1,000 GiB of overage is $10. Inbound bandwidth to Droplets is always free.
You can monitor the usage and set an alarm if the usage exceeds 1000GiB so you can be aware of the extra costs that may occur.

It provides additional Droplet graphs and supports configurable metrics alert policies with integrated email Slack notifications to help you track the operational health of your infrastructure.
