Is there a way to add an IPv6 address to an already running droplet?

I have a long-running droplet that I don't want to stop, but I'd like to give it IPv6 connectivity.

Is there any method of doing this on a live Droplet?

Yes, you can enable IPv6 on your droplet without rebooting it as long as it's in a datacenter with IPv6 connectivity. See Enabling IPv6 on an Existing Droplet | How To Enable IPv6 for DigitalOcean Droplets | DigitalOcean

IPv6 is the most recent version of the IP protocol that the entire internet relies on to connect to other locations. DigitalOcean now offers IPv6 addresses in select datacenters. In this guide, we will show you how to enable IPv6 on your Droplets in datacenters that support it.
  • Thanks, I realized shortly after trying that my instance was in a non-IPv6-enabled datacenter.
