I had the exact same problem. Most likely your droplet has an issue in /root/.bashrc file.

  1. Go to “Recovery” and change your boot source to ISO.

  2. Turn off and on your droplet.

  3. Got to “Access” and launch Recovery Console.

  4. Mount your disk by selecting 1 and select 6 to access your file.

  5. In my case, /root/.bashrc was located at /mnt/root/.bashrc

  6. Recover your .bashrc and exit Recovery Console.

  7. Go to “Recover” and change your boot source back to Hard Disk.

  8. Turn off and on your droplet.

This does not work for me either.

When I do access the Access, it doesnt show any password.

The only option is to reset root password, which doesnt change the error i’m having.

Please advise.

Hi @kaanekici,

You’ll need first need to enter the current password of your Droplet and then type in the new one. If you are not sure of the password, you can take it from the Control Panel --> Your Droplet —> Access.
