If you create an app server from within a project, it doesn’t end up there, nor does there appear to be any way to move it to your project. It’s like they live in their own space.

Indeed this is not possible as of the time being. All Apps are available under the Apps page but this sounds like it’d be super useful!
The best thing to do to get your voice heard regarding this would be to head over to our Product Ideas board and post a new idea, including as much information as possible for what you’d like to see implemented.
