Hey just wondering if anyone has any insight into this, I am scheduling time to start patching client machines and want ot know if it is ok to go ahead.
It looks like it may only be some cpu’s but not sure how to verify that info.

It appears that this is related to Intel’s firmware patches and not the Linux kernel updates. While this is information our security team is taking into account while patching our hypervisors firmware this does not apply to your droplets which will only need kernel updates to resolve Spectre/Meltdown issues (along with the firmware updates on the hypervisor being done by our team).
