MX Record for godaddy email not validating

Posted on October 17, 2014

Hi There, I am trying to setup an MX record for my godaddy hosted email. When i try to “Create a Record” and select “MX” i only have an option to add the “Host” and “Priority” but not the target.

GoDaddy states i need to enter the following: Host Priority Target @ 0 ihainspiredhome-org.mail.protection.outlook.com

Can anyone help me navigate the setup?

Thank you

Our DNS system does not allow you to create subdomain MX records without creating a separate zone for the subdomain. For this reason the @ is implied and you do not need to add it to your record.
