Have you installed the Extra Packages for Enterprise Linux (EPEL) repository? ProFtp isn't available in the default CentOS repositories. You need to add it first:

sudo rpm -Uvh http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6/i386/epel-release-6-8.noarch.rpm

Check out this tutorial for all the information:

ProFTPD is a popular ftp server. Although it is not the lightest ftp server available for virtual servers, it is a powerful and configurable program. This tutorial explains how to install, configure, and access the ProFTPD server. It is written for Centos 6.

1. We followed the tutorial.

2. We have tried to use the rpm you mentioned above and in the tutorial.

Is there a alternative place to download besides:

If so, please advise.

Thanks again!
