NY2 single-homed to Telia?

After the recent NY2 network upgrades, it appears the network is now single-homed to Telia? http://bgp.he.net/AS62567 Seriously?

That is definitely not a good thing. If Telia goes down, there's no alternative network provider to fall back on. They've advertised having multiple network providers, which is highly misleading. Prior to the network "upgrade" they had nlayer in the mix for ip4 in addition to Telia.
It's down for repair, it'll be back shortly. hence the multiple providers in case one has an issue.
@bryan, do you work for DO? You're saying other providers are down for repair for over a week? Even fiber cuts don't last this long.

I truly wonder if no one brought this up, would other network providers even come back. Afterall, no one probably cares enough, that is, until Telia goes down.

This is why people will continue to view DO as just a dev playground and will never host anything of importance on your servers.

Those are pretty strong words given that even Amazon, Rackspace, Linode & Google have had their fair share of outages (and even, in some situations, lost customers' data). I guess the guys & gals @ AudioBox are fools for having dumped AWS for DigitalOcean. See AudioBox: Why We Moved to DigitalOcean.
You can't possibly be in agreement that being single homed to just one provider is an okay thing. People move for various reasons, mainly to save cost. That's a separate topic. being single homed for more than a week is simply unacceptable for anyone hosting anything of importance.

Either way, I'm getting out after their comment above casually shrugging this off. Good luck to you.
