Hi folks,

I am facing this issue that I am not receiving any email for comments/contact forms/registrations on my wordpress droplet installed using openlitespeed image on digital ocean. Please let me know if there are some additional steps in order to receive these mails.

Hi @devInProgress,

The OpenLiteSpeed WordPress image does not come with any SMTP service like postfix. You can check the included software here:

If you wish to configure mailboxes and send out e-mails, you’ll need an SMTP service. You can use Postfix for that. DigitalOcean have a pretty good tutorial on installing and configuring it. You can check that here

If you wish to configure mailboxes as well, you’ll additionally need to check the following article:

This tutorial will tell you how to setup a basic mail server and attempts to teach you a bit about the Postfix MTA (Mail Transfer Agent) in the process.

Thanks @KDSys, I just want to update that postfix should be already installed. Will update the list soon. Please also check the mail in Spam.

  • Interesting, I was able to see the message in SPAM with a non secure lock, how do I fix it? Also the email only came for change of admin’s email but not for signups, comments. Do you know what can be the reason for this?
